4 What Is A Podcast?  Originally, an audio file delivered to user using an RSS feed  Audio file that can be downloaded and stored on iPod-like device or computer  Portable  Relatively small files  Audio only

5 What Is A Podcast?  Video with sound file that can be downloaded and stored on MP3 player or computer  Portable  Visuals can be useful  Fewer users video-capable players  Larger files  Most players currently available feature small screens

6 What Works As A Podcast?  Tutorials  Self-guided tours  An accompaniment to a special exhibit

7 What You Need  Computer with sound card and/or video card  Digital still or video camera  Editing software  Sufficient storage capacity for large video files  Quiet space for recording audio  Good quality microphone
