2 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Passed by Congress in early 2009 to stimulate the economy Main objectives of act Job preservation and creation Infrastructure investment (modernizing) Develop clean efficient energy systems State and local fiscal stabilization Sponsored activities under the act have new, complex reporting requirements related to the objectives of the act

4 Reporting for ARRA Awards Reports are due quarterly Reports will be submitted by GCA to www.FederalReporting.gov www.FederalReporting.gov Reports will be made available to the public at www.Recovery.gov www.Recovery.gov Failure to submit reports on time may result in loss of funding No waivers or extensions will be given

5 Main Reporting Data Elements Award information Funding/awarding agency information Subaward information Payments to vendors/subrecipients Description of award Project information Project status (completion status) Jobs created and retained Quarterly activities Infrastructure investment information

6 Data Elements from Subrecipients Information submitted by subrecipients Jobs created and retained Vendor payments Subaward area of benefit Compensation of top officers (if private) Subrecipient reports due to UVM on 5 th day following the quarter end Ex. October 5 th, January 5 th, April 5 th, July 5 th GCA may request PI assistance to obtain reports from subrecipients if necessary

7 Data Elements from PIs Project information (PeopleSoft number, Sponsor number, etc.) Project description Jobs created and retained Description of the jobs created and retained completed by P.I. Description of titles generally sufficient Infrastructure investments Contact name and information Description of investment and necessity

8 Due dates for PI information Submit PI worksheets electronically to GCA Worksheet contains fields for all data elements needed In the future the 15 th of the final month of each calendar quarter Ex. 3/15/2010, 6/15/2010, 9/15/2010, etc. Please contact GCA with any general or workbook related questions at UVMARRA@uvm.eduUVMARRA@uvm.edu
