5. Image Resolution Images from digital cameras are too high a resolution and make your PPT file large. Images can be cropped in PowerPoint but the file size remains the same. Images can be scaled in PowerPoint but the rendering can be poor and the file size remains the same. Best to scale and crop images in GIMP and apply JPG compression.
