9 AAE450 Spring 2009 Shear Paneling.0005 mm thick sheet of wrought Magnesium Alloy, either riveted together upon overlap, brazed upon overlap, or bonded with adhesive to form a lap joint Serves as a surface to conduct heat away from the electronics module, to protect all components from incident radiation, as an integration interface for all vital structural components and solar arrays, and weighs 9 kg.
