4 Process narratives explains or instructs how something mechanical or technical works; explains to the reader how something can be done. Instructional process narratives explains all of the steps of the process for the reader in order to complete the task. Explanatory process narratives often relate to a particular experience followed by machines or organizations. Narratives tell a story
