2. Today’s Outline In today’s lesson, we will learn: ▫ Everyone can become a Saint ▫ The requirements of Sainthood ▫ What life looks like as a Saint

3. WE ARE CALLED TO BE SAINTS Everyone is called to be Saints (Rom 1:7) A Saint is someone who: ▫ Has been separated from the world (1Pt 2:1-10) ▫ He been consecrated to God (Rom 6:10) ▫ Lives righteously (Rom 6:17-19)

4. REQUIREMENTS FOR SAINTHOOD Sanctification: Setting apart from sin ▫ Rom 6:17-19, Separated from sin ▫ 1Cor 6:9-11, Previous sins washed away ▫ Col 1:12, Delivered from darkness ▫ Acts 26:18, Turn away from Satan

5. REQUIREMENTS FOR SAINTHOOD Sanctification: Consecration unto holiness ▫ Acts 26:18, Turn to God ▫ Rom 6:22, Become God’s servants  1Pt 2:9, Offer praises  2Ti 2:21, Offer obedience ▫ 1Cor 3:17, Become a holy temple of God

6. REQUIREMENTS FOR SAINTHOOD God’s Grace…Jesus Christ (Eph 2:1-10) ▫ Heb 13:12; Col 1:22, Jesus offered his body ▫ Heb 10:10, Sanctified by body of Christ ▫ Heb 9:13-14, Sanctified by the blood of Christ

7. REQUIREMENTS FOR SAINTHOOD The Holy Spirit…Truth  1Pt 1:2, Sanctified when we believe truth  Jn 17:17, Jesus prayed for us be set apart  2Th 2:13, We must believe the truth  Acts 2, Exemplifies this process

8. REQUIREMENTS FOR SAINTHOOD Our Faith…God (Eph 2:1-10)  Eph 2:1-8, Saved by grace through faith  Acts 26:18, We are sanctified by faith  Col 2:11-14, Faith in the workings of God  Rom 6:1-10, Describes how God works

9. LIVING AS A SAINT Living Holy Lives ▫ 1Pt 1:16, Be holy for God is holy ▫ 1Th 4:4, Possess our vessels in sanctification ▫ 2Ti 2:21, Cleanse ourselves from sin ▫ 1Th 4:3, Abstain from fleshly lusts ▫ Heb 12: 14, Can’t see God without holiness

10. Conclusion We are called to be saints by the Gospel Sainthood requires sanctification Once sanctified, we need to live holy lives If we live as Saints, our eternity is bright
