5. Hail is formed when rain drops are caught in an updraft of a thunderstorm. They get lifted high into the sky and they get so high that they turn into ice They start to get heavy so that’s why the fall down. The little hail pieces get lifted up again so they get bigger. Biggest Hail piece ever
