Origin and development In the begin of fall in 1998, our Detention Center established a 「 cosmetic and hairdressing class 」 by the effort of After-Care Association Ban-Chiao Branch and instructor Su-Shi Won. The class started at march 21, 1998, as of 2007, it had been 11 years carry out the efforts and hard work that we provided the opportunities for youth to restart their life, and never, once more, be the burden in their family as well as in society.

Purpose of Class Established Many female juvenile in Detention Center, have no intention to continue their school career mean while lack of the ability to make their own living, and become loaf all days, messing around, finally, end up doing something against the law due to no proper economic resource. In light of this, the knowledge that instructor brought to our hair cutting, shampooing, cosmetic class was hoping the youth,during learning processes, will able place all the efforts for changing themselves actively, and finally to fulfill their goal. Once juvenile out of Detention Center with no intention to continue their school study, then they can go to work immediately with this learning of skill which becomes another possible opportunity of their future life.

5. Class Times Class Times: Monday 8:30-11:20 a.m. 3 periods of 50 minutes each.

Curriculum Content Cosmetology The physical practice of painting technique for shape of eyebrow and lip, the makeup and coloring ( basic method of the eyebrow-painted and eyebrow-trimmed, makeup technique of eye area and lip shape, physical practice ), makeup with maintenance ( how to clean after take off makeup and colorfulness coordination ), manicure and physical practice, skin massage and maintenance (the technique of skin maintenance focus on the coordinate massage, maintenance, demonstrate and physical practice) the skin structure ( basic method of skin clean, skin structure ), understanding the basic main theme of skin, actual operation etc.

8. Curriculum Content Hairdressing The basic course of hair perm ( principle of hair perm, what is meant by cold perm, modify cold perm, demonstrate and physical practice of technique of styling, principle of hair perm, standard arrangement tech, correct arrangement with hair rolls, cold perm procedure, technique demonstration ), hair structure （ the concept of hair-dyed principle and physical practice, recognition of hair texture ）, intimate relationship of hairdressing, entire styling （ mutual communication between learning and mind insight ） etc.

9. obvious consequence The young girl is rather interested into the Cosmetology and Hairdressing Class after the curriculum, and from their weekly report expressed the willingness of being a beautician after out of Detention Center, Which showing that every class obtain an obvious consequence.
