2. The Life of a Whale
Mammals are animals that are born alive and feed on their mothers’ milk. They breath air and are warm blooded.
Whales usually only have one baby. They give birth every two to five years.
Whales breath through nostrils, called blowholes. Underwater, the whale holds its breath.

5. Fun Facts
Belly Buttons- whales have belly buttons, they are connected to their mothers by an umbilical cord before birth.
Bad Breath- According to sailors and some people they have a fishy smell from their blow.
Staying Underwater- Whales can stay under water for 20 minutes to 2 hours.
Whales Keeping in Touch- Whales keep in touch with squeals, clicks, whistles, moans and barks.

6. Whales Migrating
Why do whales migrate- To find food and gain weight so they develop blubber.
traveling- Some travel alone; others travel in pods of 3 to hundreds of whales.
