Workshop U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Rockville, Maryland Pacific Northwest National Laboratory November 15-17, 2005 Geo-Reference Icon

2 FRAMES GIS Conceptual Site Model

3 GIS Site View

4 Background Coverage Query

5 Query User for Module Needs

6 Spatial Entities and Attributes Defined

Spatially Based Output Results

8 AnimatedVisualization

9 Geo-Reference Icon A place holder for future “real” geoprocessing. GEOLEM or straight GIS functionality Spatial information associated with the things at the CSM level A simple Cartesian measurement for location (x,y) and elevation (z)

10 Add a GIS icon from the Environmental domain. Then draw your CSM and choose models. Note that the models consume Geo Reference dataset

11 Choose the GEO Reference for the component

12 The Axis variable is already populated. The Geo Reference tool implements the FRAMES 1.6 default of putting x=0, y=0, z=0 for all icons. You can change the value if needed using the editor. Assume we need to change the location for Mod 4. Use the drop down list to change the coordinates for Mod 4.

13 The GIS Icon goes green. No input is needed except for the specific case of Air simulations.
