2. What is the Pessebre (Nativity scene)? The representation of the Birth of Jesus (the 25 th of December). In many houses, people put a small recreation of this scene to commemorate the nativity. 4. In Catalunya you can find special and traditional figures in the Nativity scene: el Caganer and el Pixaner. El Caganer is a figure of a shepherd who is having a shit. 6. Apart from the figures, the Nativity scene is represented by people. In many villages and towns, this scene is represented for 3 or 4 days (usually from 25 th of December to the first week of January). This representation lasts 4 o 5 hours.
