Origin Insertion Belly Prime mover = muscle that provides the primary movement at a joint. In this Example: Biceps brachii Synergist = muscle that Assists the prime mover. In this case the brachialis Antagonist = muscle that opposes The prime mover. In this example: Triceps brachii.
