3. SİVAS Sivas is a beaufiful city in the central Anatolia. The population of the city is about 350.000.

4. During the Turkish National Movement, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk held a congress in Sivas between 4-11 September, 1919. Many important decisions are made in this congress and it shaped the future policy of Turkish War of Independence. That’s why our school’s name is Kongre, which means Congress.

5. Sivas is famous for: 1- DİVRİĞİ MOSQUE: Built in 1228-1229. Listed as a world heritage in 1985 by UNESCO. Also has a very old hospital with it.

7. 2- THERMAL WATER AND DOCTOR FISH -These doctor fish live in warm thermal water (36-37 C) and heals many diseases such as PSORIASIS and RHEUMATİC PAINS. - It’s about 110 kms away from the city center but many people both from inside turkey or outside visit this place every year.

8. 3- KANGAL SHEPHERD DOGS

9. Kangal shepherd dogs are worldwide famous for their bravery, loyalty and strenght. They can easily kill wolves to protect the herd. Although they are rough to the wolves and thieves, they are very kind to the family members. The price for a good dog can go up to $15.000. There are some breeding farms in Kangal, the town which has given the name to these dogs. It s 90 kms far from Sivas.
