3 Drought An unusually long period of dry weather that lasts long enough to cause supply shortages

4 Hurricane a huge storm! It can be up to 600 miles across and have strong winds spiraling inward and upward at speeds of 75 to 200 mph. Hurricanes only form over really warm ocean water of 26°C or warmer.

9 Heat Transfers Radiation: complete process in which energy is emitted by one body, transmitted through an intervening medium or space, & absorbed by another body. Conduction: heat from one object to another caused by temperature difference Convection: heat from one place to another by the movement of fluids
