A Woman with Big Needs  Her situation  A Samaritan (despised by the Jews)  A woman (same status/‘value’ as a child)  Had 5 husbands/men(despised in a moralistic culture)  The dawning realization of Jesus’ identity  A Jew (& slightly crazy) (v 9)  A prophet (v 19)  The messiah (THE prophet Dt 18:15-18) (v 25-26)  Saviour... of the World (v 42)

Jesus has the Big Answers  The one with “Living water” (v 10)  the Holy Spirit (Jn 7:38-39)  We will never thirst again (He fulfills our deepest desire)  Worship unbounded by geography / ethnicity  Worship in Spirit and in Truth (v 23)  Reaching even... an adulterous Samaritan woman !!  Jesus reached out across every barrier there was

7 Filled to Capacity  Jesus –  The true and only satisfaction of our heart’s desire  The end of striving, stress, sorrow, self-doubt...  The answer to the big questions we don’t even know to ask  Responding –  Open up your soul and drink the “living water”  Thirst no more!
