Daylight harvesting Presence detection Board room control Energy monitoring Allowing staff to interaction with their environment All new and refurbished office buildings require a lighting control to meet minimum requirements The Dynalite system can detect available sun light and adjust the internal lighting to maintain constant levels and reduces unnecessary use of florescent lighting. Detecting if an area is no longer in use and switching off the lighting. The most energy efficient lamp is one that is off but the system can make sure no one is left in the dark. Automate board rooms by integrating with AV systems, blinds, lighting. Report back energy consumption during different times of the working day. Allow staff to interact simply with the lighting and setting there own levels of comfort.

A protocol set out in the technical standard IEC DALI is a communication protocol dedicated for lighting control DALI allows for communication individual light fixtures DALI is not owned by a single lamp or control system manufacture DALI-AG is a working group set up by leading manufacturers and institutions in the field of digital lamp/luminaire control to promote DALI technology and applications.

29 DALI – Power Consumption
DALI ballasts/transformers consume power to operate even when their fitting is off. Approx to 2 watt per ballast (up to 2% of operation power per luminaire) This power consumption never stops even when the lights are off.
