2 What is SR2S? The San Mateo County Office of Education is pleased to provide Safe Routes to School (SR2S) San Mateo County. Goals include enabling school children to walk and bicycle to school activities to improve health increased safety which less traffic congestion decreased emissions

7 Benefits Health 40 Years Ago: 60% of children living within a 2- mile radius of a school walked or bicycled to school Today: Less than 15% of children walk to school
