2 Outline Base station detects the presence of any object Sends the position of the target object Rover moves to the desired destination Intercepts with the target

3 Technical Description Base Station Ultrasonic Sensor measures distance to target Estimates the range and angle of the target Transmits the XY target coordinates using RF communication

4 Technical Description Rover: tracking Bot Receives XY coordinates from the base station Reaches the coordinates specified Does a local scan using IR sensors Detects the object and homes in.

5 Principles Implemented Real-time Data logging RF Communication Servo Calibration Ultrasonic Ranging and focusing IR sensing Alpha-Beta Estimation Algorithm Tactile sensing using whiskers Implementation of most peripherals used in previous labs

6 Applications Anything that requires 2-D tracking and position & velocity estimation. Examples include: Enemy Tank Detection Naval Vessel Tracking Sports
