11 Payroll Deduction Authorization (yellow copy) 11 Make certain that this copy is signed and dated Ensure the Social Security Number (SSN): Is Kept in secure area to protect against identity theft Agency Payroll offices have different requirement concerning the SSN Should be given to the payroll office by Agency Coordinators or designated individuals When cash or checks are received, the yellow copy is obsolete for payroll

13 Raffle Drawing (green copy) Make sure the information is legible and a phone number is listed Tear the form apart at the perforations 13

14 Pledge Card Key Worker Incentive Receipt (gold copy) 14 Make sure information is legible The donor must check the correct box for the appropriate gift Check the appropriate box if gift is declined by donor Agency keeps this copy and uses it to track gifts received and distributed

16 Preparing Pledge Cards Separate CFC pledge cards by category and in denominational order Provide calculator tape listing donations in denominational order for each category The amounts and totals must be reconciled 16

18 Incentive Items The incentive items must be totaled and entered in corresponding boxes Write in the choices of each Eagle Leadership The Envelope copy must be initialed by the Key Worker(s), Coordinator (s) and/or Loaned Executives 18

24 Employee Express A limited number of agencies have the capability to use employee express for CFC. www.employeeexpress.gov *If possible, ask those who donate through Employee Express to provide the name of the charity, the charity code number and the total pledge amount. This information will be used to insure all CFC donations are accounted for. 24

25 Keys to a Successful Campaign Learn as much as you can about how the campaign works, what the goals are and share them. Always make the one-on-one contact to encourage payroll deductions View objections as opportunities If you leave a pledge card on an employee’s desk and/or mailbox, ensure you follow–up “THANK YOU” Always be polite and say “THANK YOU” 25

26 Key Dates/Points to Remember Do not ask for donations or pledges before the Kick-Off date, September 12, 2012. Make sure all givers get their incentive gifts CFC books contain: Color coded pages for Local (yellow), National (blue) and International (pink) charities Percentage of charity overhead expenses “THANK YOU” Say “THANK YOU” again when you give a donor their incentive items. 26

27 Campaign Awards Share the Care – Agency recognized for meeting their monetary goal plus having a participation level of at least 50% or 10% higher than last year’s participation rate. Soaring to New Heights – Division recognized for meeting their monetary goal and achieving a 5% increase in participation rate or more over last year’s rating by the end of the tenth week of the campaign (November 23, 2012), or an overall participation rate of 50% or more. Outstanding Volunteer Award – This award will be presented to the campaign volunteer who has done the most to make the campaign a success. Each Loaned Executive may select up to two individuals from their Division to receive this award. Nominations may be submitted by Agency Coordinators to the Loaned Executive assigned to their Division. 27

28 28 Leadership Award – Division Chairs and Division Coordinators who lead their Division in meeting Division goals by the end of the official campaign period of ten weeks (November 23, 2012). CFC Chairperson Award – A Division, Agency or Individual selected by the CFC Chairman recognizing distinguished and exceptional performance or contribution to the overall success of the campaign.
