2 Why is Time Management Important? Time is a limited & scarce resource You need time to get what you want out of life You can accomplish more with less effort Remember: You can’t control time, but you CAN control what you do with it!!

3 What do you have on your plate? What roles do you play? What duties/obligations do you have? What have you committed to? Take a few minutes to consider what’s on your plate… What time constraints do you have?

4 Assess Your Time- Management Skill Level Where Does the Time Go? Consider what’s on your plate!

5 Enhancing Academic Performance through Time Management Think of school as a Full Time Job Schedule study time between 8a-5p 1.5-2 hours outside of class Plan study time right before or right after class Plan for breaks (45-15-45)

6 Tools for Time-Management If you say you can remember it all in your head, then you must not have much to do… Semester or Monthly calendar Day or Weekly calendar Planner To-Do List
