5. What did I do at Census? I worked on the Survey of Income and Program Participation’s Survey Management Team Summarized feedback from Field Representatives Tested the survey instrument Debugged SAS code for interview times Reviewed audit trails

6. Things to note Census is heavily involved in the data collection process and presentation of data Many other statistical agencies use data Census collects to do their analyses. The Census Bureau has opportunities for people in so many different fields – not just statistics

Overall I enjoyed the summer Maybe I would try to intern at a different agency if I could go back, though I would definitely work at Census again in the future I learned a lot about how the government conducts surveys and collects data The Census Bureau is a neat agency DC is a cool city to spend a summer in I met a lot of awesome people in the program
