For a general wide-band Gaussian process, the formulae given by Dirlik and Benasciutti & Tovo gives accurate estimation of fatigue damage. The multi-modal fatigue formulation method, including the bimodal one, predicts accurately the fatigue damage of ideal Gaussian processes with multiple peaks. It can also be applied to non-Gaussian processes. Conclusions
