17 17 Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS)  MOE FAS candidates will receive 75% subsidy from MOE and 25% subsidy from SAC  SAC FAS candidates will receive 25% subsidy from SAC and are only required to pay 75% of the exam fees in cash. Payable for late registrations after deadlines: N(T) and N(A): after 30 April 2013 O Level : after 5 Jul 2013 Under protest fees Note: MOE: Ministry of Education SAC: School Advisory Committee

18 18 Welfare / School Advisory Committee Assistance Scheme (SAC-AS) Candidates on welfare or paying using SAC funds:  indicate ‘Opt Out’ as their Giro Option  Otherwise, their bank accounts will be deducted

19 GIRO Option Form For candidates with active GIRO accounts Ensure sufficient funds before deduction date – 9 April for N-Level – 19 April for O-Level Strongly encouraged to Opt-in (Pay Exam fees through GIRO) 19

21 21 Subject Amendment  Amendments after the registration period can only be made after candidate’s payment status in iEXAMS is ‘Paid’  Subject fees for subjects that are deleted will not be refunded  Any additional exam fees payable resulting from amendments must be paid in cash

22 22 Subject Amendment No amendments allowed after: 30 Apr 2013 (N(T)- & N(A)-Levels) 5 Jul 2013 (O-Level) Underprotest fees apply for all registrations after 30 Apr (N(T)- & N(A)-Levels) and 5 Jul (O-Level).

23 23 Withdrawal from GCE Examinations Candidates who completely withdraw from exam are entitled to a refund of the basic fee and total subject fee paid for the exam if the withdrawal requests are submitted by:  30 Apr 2013 (N-Level)  5 Jul 2013 (O-Level)

24 24 Full Withdrawal from GCE Examinations  No cash/cheque refund - candidates who paid their exam fees by cash are required to submit the DCA Form and photocopies of their NRIC and bank book/statement to effect the refund to their bank accounts  Candidates who have taken any part of the exam (Oral, LC, Practical, Written) deemed to have sat the exam no refund of exam fee for the subject taken no result/certificate issued

26 26 Candidates with Physical Disabilities Examples of Physical Disabilities  Hearing Impairment,  Visual Impairment,  Physical Impairment Inform your FTs if you have not done so. Bring along your Medical Report for verification.\ Some annonation may appear in the certificate Access Arrangement

28 28 Malpractice/Dishonesty Candidates are required to read the ‘Instructions for School Candidates’ Booklet carefully as they are taken to have read, understood and agreed to the exam rules and regulations set out in the booklet when they sit the GCE Exams

29 29 Malpractice/Dishonesty  If a candidate is found violating any examination regulations, he/she may be given a ‘ T ’ for that subject.  Candidates who bring in mobile phones or any unauthorised material into the exam hall/room will be found guilty of malpractice, regardless of whether these were intentionally brought in or used during the exam.

30 30 Approved dictionaries and calculator Refer to Annex… Dictionary: Bring the dictionary next week during email test for teachers to stamp approval. Calculator: Bring the calculator next week to stamp approval.

31 31 Use of Dictionaries  Refer to the Instructions for School Candidates Booklet for the approved list of dictionaries  Candidates who are caught using dictionaries that are not approved or contains annotation will be found guilty of malpractice

32 32 Use of Electronic Calculators  Refer to the Instructions for School Candidates Booklet for the approved list of calculators  Candidates who are caught using calculators that are not approved will be found guilty of malpractice.
