2 Have you ever blogged, podcasted, wikied, showed photos, or commented online? All these tools are best known as Web 2.0. It is all about the free tools such as blogs, wikis, photo and video sharing, and social networking that people are talking about and that many are using already.

3  The changing nature of information and the new ways our students understand and make sense of the world that we need new strategies and new tools for teaching ad learning.  The challenges of the new millennium require that student be adaptable and analytical, and that they have the skills to identify and use the best tools in a rapidly changing environment.

4 The Partnership for 21 st Century Skills reports: “Today’s education system faces irrelevance unless we bride the gap between how students live and how they learn. They live with Web 2.0 tools, but schools must help them use the tools to acquire new skills not just play with them.”

5 What's a wiki ?  Wiki is a type of website that allows users to easily add and edit content and is especially suited for collaborative writing. That means that on typical wikis, anyone can edit anything at anytime. Fun! Because of how open most wikis are, many educators find them a bit tough to deal with.  Wikispaces.com Wikispaces.com

6 Blogs  It is typically operated by an individual who regularly post comments and news, often including multimedia files.  Readers can reply easily and thus participate in a discussion in which they share knowledge and reflect on the topic.  Promote open dialogue and encourage the interchange of opinions, ideas and attitudes.
