1 TPH ® Spectrum ® Class V Material: TPH Spectrum restored with Prime and Bond 2.1 Title: Clinical evaluation of the Prime and Bond 2.1 adhesive system. Principle Investigator: Mark A. Latta Type of Restorations: Class V 18-Month Results: TPH Spectrum, 55 Restorations (% alpha—highest rating): Retention (89%), Sensitivity (100%), Color Match (88%), Marginal Integrity (95%), Marginal Discoloration (92%), and Secondary Caries (100%). Summary: Excellent retention rate for all materials tested with P&B 2.1

2 TPH ® Class II Material: TPH and ProBond Title: A Two-year Clinical Evaluation of TPH/Variglass VLC for restoration of Class II Carious Lesions in Permanent Teeth. Principle Investigators: Dr. Gerard Kugel, Dr. Ronald Perry, and Dr. Charles Habib Type of Restorations: Class II 2 Year results: 28 Patients; 29 Restorations; (% alpha— highest rating): Retention (100%), Sensitivity (100%), Color Stability (100%), Marginal Leakage (100%), Marginal Integrity (97%), Secondary Caries (100%), Surface texture (100%), Proximal Contact (100%). Average Wear Values: 1-yr. (0 to 24µm, n=24; 25 to 49µm, n=6, 50 to 74µm, n=2), 2-yr (0 to 24µm, n=18; 25 to 49µm, n=5, 50 to 74µm, n=2, >75µm, n=1) Summary: Analysis for wear over the 2-year period resulted in an average of 10.3  m. No post-operative sensitivity was observed. Excellent clinical performance was observed in the study, with all restorations being clinically acceptable. TPH restorations showed satisfactory values in all categories, demonstrating clinical efficacy as a restoration material over the period of the study.

3 TPH ® --Wear Over 2 Years Class II Material: TPH and ProBond Title: A Two-year Clinical Evaluation of TPH/Variglass VLC for restoration of Class II Carious Lesions in Permanent Teeth. Principle Investigators: Dr. Gerard Kugel, Dr. Ronald Perry, and Dr. Charles Habib Type of Restorations: Class II 2 Year results: 28 Patients; 29 Restorations: Average Wear Values: 1-yr. 4 TPH ® Class I, II, & IV Material: TPH and Prisma Universal Bond 3 Title: Clinical Evaluation of L.D. Caulk Prisma TPH as a Posterior and Anterior Composite Restorative Material Principle Investigators: Drs. Makoto Suzuki and Donald F. Davidson Type of Restorations: Class I, II & IV 4-year Results: 26 Patients, 78 restorations (63 Class I & II; 15 Class IV); (% alpha—highest rating): Retention (100%), Anatomical Form (100%), Sensitivity (100%), Color Match (100%), Marginal Integrity (67%), Marginal Discoloration (89%),Secondary Caries (97%), Occlusal Wear (89%), Surface texture (89%), Axial Contour (100%) Fracture Resistance (100%). Average Wear Values: 4-yr. (10 to 19µm, n=1; 20 to 29µm, n=0; 30 to 39µm, n=15; 40 to 49µm, n=29; 50 to 59µm, n=16; 60 to 69µm, n=2). Average general occlusal wear from baseline was found to be 43  m. Summary: Excellent color stability, maintenance of anatomical form and interproximal contact has been invariably observed. There were no bulk fractures or dislodgment of the restorations. Based on 4 year recalls, TPH performed exceptionally well clinically and the average occlusal wear was well within that allowed by the ADA relative to composite resin restoratives on posterior dentition.
