3 Action Item 6: Merri Sanchez is to prepare a communication to sections requesting feedback on the awards proposal. Feedback is to go through the RACs. Action 5-8-2013-4: Staff to survey/research those members who use this vehicle for membership renewal and report at August RSAC meeting. Action Closed. This action resulted from the desire to decouple the membership and conference registration. About 70% of those that join via a conference drop their membership, citing that they don’t see value in membership, they only wanted to attend the conference. With the overall membership numbers declining, now is not a good time to decouple membership and conference registration. We need to address the problem, which is showing/communicating the value of AIAA beyond the conference. RSAC Action
