1 The Access Emergency Shelter is located near downtown Danielson, CT. The Shelter is a 60 day shelter that provides temporary shelter to both Single adults as well as families. The shelter can house up to 50 residents. The shelter is able to serve 26 single individuals and is able to provide 24 family beds.

2  COORDINATED ACCESS (NETWORK ): 211 and local homeless providers work together (Windham Region Community Council, Holy Family, United Services, No-Freeze Shelter, Perceptions Program, Generations, Town of Windham  VI-SPDAT: Vulnerability Index & Service Prioritization Decision Assistance Tool

3 The community living room is the center of interaction between all the residents. This is where singles and families can come together and mingle to watch television, play interactive games and just talk.

4 The resource room is available to all residents seeking employment and or housing. There are two computers and one printer available for updating resumes, posting online applications and apartment searches.

5 The main dining area is where all meals are served. The shelter provides three meals a day as well as evening snack. Residents are responsible for the upkeep of this area after mealtime.

6 ACTIVITIES  The dining room also acts as an extended area for residents to watch television and to be able to interact socially between meals.  HOUSE MEETINGS  HOLIDAY EVENTS  PROGRAMS:  EMPLOYMENT  NUTRITION  HEALTH/WELLNESS 

7 The shelter has a full kitchen where meals are prepared and served by shelter staff. Two days a week residents can bring in their own pre cooked foods.

9 “. A favorite retreat for some residents to go and collect their thoughts or just to have some much needed down time is the serenity garden.

10 Outdoor Play Area The shelter offers a very large backyard play area where both parents and children are encouraged to use to spend quality time together with family and allow children to play in a healthy outdoor environment with other children.

12  Program for chronically homeless single adults with mental health or co- occurring disorders.  Strengths-based approach toward independent living and housing stability.  Community outreach and interagency collaboration with other Access programs to provide customer assistance.
