7. Shelter In Place The best way to protect yourself and your family in the event of a hazardous material release is to go immediately inside the nearest building, home or vehicle.

8. Shelter In Place This works because the outside air does not mix quickly with the air in closed spaces. Shelter in place protects you from the most hazardous materials as the cloud passes.
