7 Montreal Convention 1999  MC99 permits substitution of air waybills by other means preserving a record of carriage  8 years after entry into force - 103 state parties  MC99/MP4 countries are accounting for 95% of the cargo volumes  A number of large states outside the regime will ratify MC99 in 2014, inclusive Russia and Indonesia  KAZAKHSTAN?

9 IATA e-freight  What is it?  A joint air cargo industry programme of carriers, forwarders, ground handlers, shippers and customs, aimed at eliminating the need of paper documents for air cargo shipments  Why?  US$ 1.2 billion in air cargo supply chain cost savings  When?  In 2014 it will be a global standard

11 IATA Secure Freight  What is it? A system to assist Appropriate Authorities in securing the supply chain of Air Cargo by implementing best practices, standards and processes Why? ICAO requires coordinated security assistance using appropriate information-sharing mechanisms When? Since 01 July 2014 it will be an EU standard Kick-off in Russian Federation is scheduled for Q1 2014
