2 Subject The SUBJECT of a sentence names the person or thing spoken about in the rest of the sentence.

3 Complete Subject The COMPLETE SUBJECT includes all the words that tell who or what is doing the action in a sentence. EX: My dog is playing with a ball.

4 Simple Subject The SIMPLE SUBJECT is the main word or words in the complete sentence. It is a NOUN. EX: My dog is playing with a ball.
