4 Star Party Report Star Party 8 November 2013 by 60 ft dish - 6 pm - 10:30 pm Very well attended –~50? folks - all ages, but lots of kids –cub scout den Four scopes set up –Club -> Meade 16" Dob; Stellarvue 102 mm –Pers -> Celestron 130 mm Newtonian and 6" SCT; 7 x 35 binocs Heavenly bodies observed –Moon (near first quarter), Venus, Neptune, Uranus, Jupiter –M57 (ring), M31 (andromeda and companion), M13 and M15 Globs, NGC 869 (double cluster), eta cas double, Orion nebula... Conditions –Good except for Bldg 21 parking lot lights and a bright motion-activated light at entrance to Bldg 23

7 Equipment Check-out In order to minimize the chance of misplacing club equipment, the club will begin using the new equipment check-out form and the associated procedure for borrowing club equipment.
