6. I’m there…now what? Check for CREDIBILITY… Who is the author of the page? What are his/her qualifications? Look for an “author” page or “about the author”. If nothing, check for a Webmaster or the date the site was last updated. EDU & GOV domains are known to be high quality and authoritative.

7. How can you tell? Currency—Check the bottom of the homepage for publication date. Check for a “last updated” date. See if the site offers a works cited list. Use a reliable source!
