2. I. GOD GIVES US MANY CHANCES TO REPENT, THEN JUDGMENT.

3. Amos 4:4-5 “Go to Bethel and sin; go to Gilgal and sin yet more. Bring your sacrifices every morning, your tithes every three years. Burn leavened bread as a thank offering

4. and brag about your freewill offerings-- boast about them, you Israelites, for this is what you love to do," declares the Sovereign Lord.”

5. Amos 5:21-23-“"I hate, I despise your religious feasts; I cannot stand your assemblies. Even though you bring me burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept

6. them. Though you bring choice fellowship offerings, I will have no regard for them. Away with the noise of your songs! I will not listen to the music of your harps.”

7. II. JUDGE YOUR LIFE BY GOD’S PLUMBLINE BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE.

8. Amos 7:7-9-“This is what he showed me: The Lord was standing by a wall that had been built true to plumb, with a plumb line in his hand. And the Lord asked me, ‘What do

9. you see, Amos?’ ‘A plumb line,’ I replied. Then the Lord said, ‘Look, I am setting a plumb line among my people Israel; I will spare them no longer. The

10. high places of Isaac will be destroyed and the sanctuaries of Israel will be ruined; with my sword I will rise against the house of Jeroboam.’”

11. Would He find a lack of love for the unfortunate?

12. Would he find greed in our heart that causes us to spend all that we have only on ourselves and not on anything that He wants us to be involved with?

13. Would he find impure thoughts or actions in our sexual lives?

14. Would He find that we put many other things in top priority over what His desires are for our lives?

15. Would he find a passion to follow His call on our lives?

16. Would He find a passion to seek Him?

17. Would He find a passion to do good?

18. Would He find sincere worship?

19. What would God find if He came to you in judgment today?

20. III. LISTEN TO GOD’S WORD TO LEARN WHAT TO DO.

21. God does not deserve to be ignored and forgotten by you.

22. Seek God that you may live! Amos 5:4-“This is what the Lord says to the house of Israel: ‘Seek me and live’”.

23. Seek good and not evil so that you may live. 5:14-“ Seek good, not evil, that you may live. Then the Lord God Almighty will be with you, just as you say he is.”

24. Look forward to the Lord’s Restoration in your life! Amos 9:14-15 “I will bring back my exiled people Israel; they will rebuild the ruined cities and live

25. in them. They will plant vineyards and drink their wine; they will make gardens and eat their fruit. I will plant Israel in

26. their own land, never again to be uprooted from the land I have given them."
