Plucking A process of glacial erosion that adds gravel, sand and boulders to a glacier's bottom and sides as it moves

Esker A long, narrow ridge of coarse gravel deposited by a stream within a melting glacier

OUTWASssH! –the material, deposited by melted water streams in front of a glacier. (Outwash impacts the life of people. I don’t know how it does.) Becky Herrera

If someone were to walk on a slope with mass movement, they’d have a hard time getting up because of the steep slope.

Loess (Les) Loess is windblown deposits of tightly packed, fine-grained sediments. It impacts our lives by at certain climates being the most fertile land on Earth Kyle Cann

A mixture of different sized sediments that is dropped from the base of a retreating glacier and can cover huge areas of land.

Abrasion By: Myles Council Abrasion- windblown erosion when sediment strikes rocks and the surface of the rock gets scraped and worn away.

a crescent -shaped dune

Bowl-shaped basins created by valley glaciers.

Rock Falls A mass of falling rocks. Falling of loose rocks as from a cliff. Impacts the life of people because you don’t know when its going to fall and if it does it damages roads and can fall on people too.

Slump When a mass of land slips down along a curved surface, the mass movement is called slump.

SEDIMENT SEDIMENT DEFFINITION Mineral or Organic Matter Deposited by Water, Air, or Ice. IMPACTS LIFE It Impacts the Life of People Because it Might be in Our Drinks and Also it is All Around US.

A large mass of ice and snow moving on land under its own weight. Today, glaciers often are tourist attractions in mountainous areas. But glaciers are also a natural resource, and people all over the world are trying to harness the power of these frozen streams

A large ridge of rocks and soil deposited by a glacier when it stops moving forward

D E F L A T I O N DEFINITION A TYPE OF EROSION THAT OCCURS WHEN WIND BLOWS OVER LOOSE SEDIMENT. DEFLATION REMOVES SMALL PARTICLES AND LEAVES COARSER SEDIMENT BEHIND. By : Brittany Henderson

Erosion Definition Erosion is a process that wears away surface materials and moves them from one place to another. It can effect the way you live if the erosion is under your household. Erosion can also effect businesses if it is near them if there farming

a sharp narrow ridge found in rugged mountains It effects peoples life by making it hard to climb a mountain Quinton Baker

A type of mass movement in which sediments move down-slope very slowly. It’s common in areas of freezing and thawing, and can cause walls, trees, and fences to lean downhill. This can affect people’s lives if it changes the position of their fence or moves a road to a new position.

The dropping of sediments that occurs when an agent of erosion, such as gravity, a glacier, wind, or water, loses its energy and can no longer carry its load. This can affect someone’s life (especially if they live near water) by changing the shape of a shoreline or riverbed.
