Klaus Keil: J. Lawrence Smith Medal and $25K Prize, National Academy of Sciences (2006). John Porter: NASA Group Achievement Award for Outstanding Contributions Associated with the Helios Prototype Mishap Investigation (2005). 7 current HIGP members have received the U.S. Navy’s Antarctic Service Medal (>30 consecutive days south of 60S).
