CSAB ORIENTATION OBJECTIVE 3 Provide a forum for newly appointed members to meet the Chancellor and other CSAB representatives and become familiar with the CSAB’s (1) role and responsibilities (Constitution/Bylaws) (2) officer responsibilities (3) previous year’s annual goals, and set 2009-10 goals (4) 2009-10 schedule of events

Thursday Afternoon – May 21 9 Symposium Excursions: 2:30 – 5:30 P.M. Special CSAB Session: 5:30 – 6:30 P.M. to elect CSAB Officers DINNER & ENTERTAINMENT The Hagler Center -- 6:30 till 9:00 P.M.

Special Election Session CSAB Officers to be elected: Chair Vice Chair for Administrative Affairs Vice Chair for Research and Assessment CSAB Former Member Richard Seymour will preside over 2009-10 Chair Election. Upon election, new chair takes over. Each VC candidate will be given up to 5 minutes to express their interest in the position and why they would be a good candidate for the position. After each candidate has spoken, candidates leave the room and a vote will be taken, with each campus given 2 votes per candidate. Election results will be announced within the CSAB group after each officer position vote. 10

Looking Forward to 2009 Fall Semester New CSAB Chair (and other officers if possible) meet with Chancellor to review goals set by the group – if possible before start-up of semester, or, in advance of September Board meeting First TTVN meeting – second Wednesday of month – 12 Noon - September 9th Travel to College Station to attend September 24-25, 2009 Board of Regents Meeting HAVE A GREAT SUMMER BREAK!!!! 12
