The Balara Water Treatment A View of the Process:The Balara Water Treatment
The Balara Water Treatment Process Raw water coming straight from the dams carries soil, dirt, and dissolved minerals. The raw water is first treated with chlorine to get rid of any germs.ChlorineRaw Water
The Balara Water Treatment Process Then “coagulants” are injected into the water to make the dissolved minerals and dirt lump together. The lumps either float or sink.coagulantsChlorinated WaterSemi-clean Water
The Balara Water Treatment Process Semi-clean WaterFlocculatorsThe water then passes through machines called “flocculators” that remove the dirt that floats.

Everyday, Manila Water takes over a hundred water samples from the eastern part of Metro Manila. They test these samples to make sure that the water we get from our faucets is safe to drink.Let us do our share by keeping our water clean and conserving it so that there will be clean water for everyone in the years and years to come.Thank You…The Water Savers Group
The Water Savers Group would like to thank the Manila Water Company for allowing us to visit the Balara Water Treatment Plants and to interact with experts there so we will know how our water is treated such that they are safe to drink when they come to our faucets.Source:Manila Water Company: Water Supply System
