3 Tell-tale signs and symptoms Asking superficial rather than deep learning questions Never progressing from a low work rate (and may complain over-worked) Overt clinical problems (poor note-keeping, inappropriate prescriptions, inappropriate investigations, failure to follow protocols, problems with practical procedures, failure to recognise/ respond to clinical urgency) Disappearing Emotional Coming across as rigid or inflexible Not demonstrating a progression of competence Poor E-portfolio
