2 PROJECT TITLE : INTERNATIONAL REVIEW OF WONDERFUL THEATRES PROJECT NUMBER 2006/366 PRIORITY 2: Contribution to co-operation among inhabitants, social and cultural integration as well as job market. ACTION 2.1.: Supporting the initiatives of local societies. DURATION: January – October 2007

3 MAIN GOALS TO ACHIEVE: formulation of cultural co-operation strategy – participation of the handicapped in cultural activities preparation of programmes and therapeutic techniques in the field of arts and crafts mutual stage presentations of the participants of the project familiarisation with culture, habits and customs of involved regions.

4 ACTIONS The promotion of the project in Poland and Lithuania. Artistic workshops in Poland. Artistic workshops in Lithuania Cultural and tourist programme in Poland. Cultural and tourist programme in Lithuania. The conference “Folk art as the element of European culture”. Stage presentations of the V International Review of Wonderful Theatres. Stage presentations in Lithuania. The setting of European Culture Studio.

5 DESCRIPTION OF THE ACTIONS

6 The promotion of the project –preparation of materials to information booklets, translation, printing the booklets –preparation and translation of conference papers –contacting the media, presenting all the information on web-sites –preparation and printing of posters –preparation of T-shirts promoting the project

7 Artistic workshops in Poland Workshops sessions will be executed on the regular basis 1-8 June, 2007. They will be led by folk artists and volunteers. The sessions will include glass painting, wickerwork, folk dance, folk music, dialects, embroidery, pottery- making, stage motion and rhythmic classes. During the sessions, the participants will prepare a mutual presentation to perform during the Final Concert. 100 handicapped from Lithuania (among whom 20 teachers and carers) and 150 from Poland will participate in the workshops.

8 Artistic workshops in Lithuania Workshops sessions will be executed on the regular basis 17-21 September, 2007. The Lithuanian partner will employ 4 folk artists to lead the workshops. 50 handicapped from Lithuania and 50 from Poland will participate in the workshops.

9 Cultural and tourist programme in Poland - Session in The Regional Museum in Piaseczno - Knight’s meeting in Gniew Castle - Visiting The Heritage Park in Wdzydze Kiszewskie - Kaszubian merry-making - Trip to Tricity (Gdańsk-Gdynia-Sopot) 100 handicapped from Lithuania (among whom 20 teachers and carers) and 150 from Poland will participate in the events taking places for 3 days.

10 Cultural and tourist programme in Lithuania - Winter Garden in Kretinga - The Navy Museum in Kłajpeda - Sightseeing Taurage - Session in dolphin aquarium 50 handicapped from Lithuania and 50 from Poland will participate in the events taking place for 2 days.

11 The conference “Folk art as the element of European culture” The conference is aimed at placing folk art in Lithuanian culture (a paper) and Polish culture (a paper). The participants of the conference will also discuss the position of the handicapped in art as receivers and creators ( two papers on Lithuanian and Polish experience). Another issue which will be discussed during the meeting is the artistic handicraft as the way of stimulating the handicapped (papers presenting Lithuanian and Polish experience in the field).

12 Stage presentations of the V International Review of Wonderful Theatres Stage presentations will take place in June 2007 as a part of the V International Review of Wonderful Theatres. The participants of the Review will take part in the Wonderful Pageant, the Opening Ceremony, presentation “Taurage – Tczew: let’s get to know each other” on the first day, the mutual performance during the Final Concert. 4 theatrical groups from Lithuania and 4 from Kociewie will participate in the events.

13 Stage presentations in Lithuania Stage presentations will take place in September 2007. 2 theatrical groups from Lithuania and 2 from Kociewie, selected by the professional jury of the Review, will participate in the events. The presentations will be performed for the students of special education centres and inhabitants. 50 handicapped from Lithuania and 50 from Poland will perform stage presentation.

14 The setting of European Culture Studio The Studio will be created in Special Education Centre in Tczew. It will function as the centre of knowledge about Lithuanian and Polish culture and the place where new mutual projects will be held. A web-site of the studio will be created, while existing artistic rooms and boarding facilities will make it possible to realise successive mutual projects and programmes.

15 TASK FOR THE PARTNERS INVOLVED Poland All the matters connected with the execution of the project, public orders, purchases, commissions, logistics, reporting and financial accounts. Lithuania Organisation of workshops and stage presentations in Taurugi, planning cultural and tourist programme in Lithuania, ensuring media promotion of the project. Preparation of the materials about theatrical groups to the information booklet and papers for the conference till the end of April 2007. Managing the finances according to the project and the deal with Lithuanian administering institution.

16 THE COST SHARE Lithuania 6 000 EUR a financial manager 10 months * 250 EURO = 2500 Euro employment of 4 folk artists to lead workshops 4 * 250 EURO = 1000 EURO organisation of cultural and tourist programme in Lithuania = 2500 EURO Poland All the other costs connected with the project equal to 94,900 EURO
