2 Importance of the Great Commission
Before ascension Jesus issued what has come to be called a Commission to his disciples Last recorded personal directive of the Saviour Foundation for Evangelism and cross-cultural missions work in Christian theology

3 Jesus’s expectation of us
Though given directly to the disciples it was given indirectly to us Jesus’s Marching orders to the church Expectation of us in Jesus’s physical absence Not a suggestion but a definite requirement

4 Disciples took the Lord’s command seriously
Went out into the world and shared the gospel of Jesus Thousands and Thousands were saved by the grace of GOD Message was so powerful and witness was so effective

5 Some facts about the modern Church
95% of Christians have never won a soul for Christ 80% of Christians do not consistently witness for Christ Less than 2% involved in ministry of evangelism

6 Four reasons why we must obey the Great Commission
We have a Divine Mandate We have a Divine Message We have a Divine Mission We have a Divine Mentor

7 Divine mandate Jesus requires us to GO - take action
Jesus requires us to - Look at our own lifestyle Jesus requires us to Share our Faith

8 Divine Message “to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you….” By his death and resurrection Jesus opened the way of eternal salvation for all who receive HIM into their hearts Jesus came to this world as the saviour of men Jesus achieved every purpose He Had

9 Divine Mission “Go and Teach all Nations”
“Go ye into the world and preach the gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15) “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you; and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem and in all Judeaand in Samaria and unto the uttermost part of the world (Acts 1:8)

10 Divine Mentor We are Promised HIS presence “Lo, I am with you always.”
He will help you say what you want to say when the witnessing opportunity presents (Mat 10: 19-20) We are promised His Power (Acts 1:8)

11 Conclusion The Great Commission is not the great suggestion neither should it be the Great omission in our lives. It is our responsibility our declaration of true obedience to the Father who Gave everything for save our souls JESUS WANTS YOU TO FINISH WHAT HE BEGAN…….
