5 Filtering and young people Under 12s accompanied by an adult at time of booking and for duration of Internet session 12-16 year olds require a parent or guardian’s signature on a permission form before allowed on-line

6 The way forward Additional library dedicated filtering software – WebSense –Set up our own parameters –Introduce pro-active filtering –Generate our own usage reports –Reduce staff monitoring –Reduce inconsistencies Booking software –Reduce procedural inconsistencies –Provide an automated ‘audit trail’ Review computer housekeeping
