3 Program Goal for Water Quality To improve the quality of the waters of the Sacramento - San Joaquin Delta Estuary for all beneficial uses, including domestic, industrial, agricultural, recreation, and aquatic habitat.

4 Drinking Water Quality Program Objectives To continuously improve source water quality that allows municipal water suppliers to deliver safe, reliable, and affordable drinking that meets and, where feasible, is better than applicable drinking water standards.

9 Objectives - San Joaquin River, Delta and tributaries zReduce pathogens, organic carbon, salinity, sediment, and nutrient loads through source control, treatment, water management, and appropriate land fallowing and/or land retirement. zReduce pathogen loading from confined animal facility operations
