3. Story about Rebbetzin Shaina
Story about Rebbetzin Shaina Once a very poor melamed came to the Alter Rebbe. Seeing that he had five daughters of marriageable age, the Alter Rebbe asked him “Why aren’t your daughters married yet?” The melamed answered “I am very poor and no one wants to make a shidduch with me.” To which the Alter Rebbe replied “I will help you out. Give me one of your daughters so I can marry off my son to her.” After R’ DovBer and Shaina were married, the shidduchim started pouring in for the melamed’s daughters. And he never had to worry about not finding a suitable shidduch for his daughters again.

5. Her Family Her Family She had four sisters.
She was the daughter of a chossid of the Alter Rebbe who was a melamed.

6. Why I chose Rebbetzin Shaina
The reason why I chose Rebbetzin Shaina is (can you guess?) I was named after her. When my parents noticed a hole in my heart (heart murmur), though, they added the name Brocha- Blessing. Boruch Hashem, by the time I was two years old, there was no more hole.
