3 How do we do the ESL Allotment? LEP database with ESL Service data updated. Who receives ESL service? 2012 ACCESS scores come back. Who qualifies for ESL service in 2012-2013? (see ESL service guidelines) 2012 Assignment file. Where will these LEP students attend school in 2012-2013? How many LEP K students will we have in 2012-2013? Must predict based on 2011 K numbers... The number of LEP students, by ESL site, who qualify for and will receive ESL services in 2012- 2013.

7 LEP Retentions – draft guidance 1.What is the child’s English language proficiency level? 2.How long has the student been enrolled in a US school? 3.Are LEP instructional modifications being used and documented in the mainstream classroom (PEP and LEP Plan)? 4.Are LEP testing accommodations being used consistently and documented for EOQs and EOGs? 5.Is the child receiving the minimum amount of ESL services? 6.Are we considering how much progress the child has made in acquiring English and acquiring content knowledge?
