4 OBJECTIVES OF THE SPEAC PROGRAMME To satisfy students emotionally, socially, cognitively and improve their behaviour To strengthen students’ and faculty’s interpersonal and intrapersonal skills

5 To guide the learners in the selection for their career To promote importance of mutual learning environment that inculcates sense of respect, devotion and sincerity among the students and faculty OBJECTIVES OF THE SPEAC PROGRAMME

6 IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SPEAC PROGRAMME PLANNING IMPLEMENTATION CO-ORDINATOR & STUDENTS’ COUNSELOR

7 PLANNING COMPONENTS  Orientation of SPEAC to the faculty  Meetings with the teachers  Selection of content  Planning of the session by the respective faculty  Educational visits  Guest speakers

8 IMPLEMENTATION  Introduction of SPEAC to the students  Implementation of the planned sessions  Visits to the Educational institutions  Invitation to the guest speakers

9 ASSESSMENT OF THE SPEAC PROGRAMME  Regular verbal feedback from the students and faculty  Reflections from the students and teachers  Administration of the questionnaire

11 11. There is no need to continue this program in the next session.

12 STRENGTHS Initiated a process of thinking and reflection among the teachers Enhancement of the knowledge and learning skills of the teachers Provided an opportunity to address the need of career guidance

13 CHALLENGES Planning of assessment criteria Problems in the understanding of the programme Logistics arrangements Scheduling Some of the teachers preferred set teaching method Increased workload (for some of the teachers)

14 RECOMMENDATIONS Provision of support to the faculty in the planning and refining of the Programme Training courses for the faculty to enhance their professional skills Proper assessment / feedback mechanism
