5. Jane: “I worked late last night.” Jane said (that) she had worked late last night.” Jane: “My computer crashed!” Jane told me (that) her computer had crashed.”

6. Ken: “I haven’t done my homework.” Ken said (that) he hadn’t done his homework.” Ken: “I have started my homework.” Ken told his mom (that) he had started his homework.”

7. John: “Maria can’t sing to save her life.” John said (that) Maria couldn’t sing to save her life. Rick: “I will go crazy with this noise.” Rick said (that) he would go crazy with this noise.
