2 The question is not whether or not we worship, but who we worship! Everybody worships someone/something! People will be transformed into the image of what they worship; even if they make them with their own hands

3 2 Corinthians 3:18 (NKJV) But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. The question is, where do we point our mirror?

5 “I want to be happy.” “I want to be a better employee.” “I want to be a better student” “I want to be a better parent.” “I want to drop 20 pounds.” “I want a better marriage.” These Are Just Symptoms

6 The Worship Problem What is Worship then?

7 For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen. I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Romans 11:36-12:1

8 What is Worship? It is GLORY & SACRIFICE Practically, worship is making sacrifices for what we are living to glorify.

11 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen. Rom 1:25 Worshipping other things rather than God is Idolatry

12 When we’ve taken means of worship and made it an object of worship – Idolatry When we’ve taken a good thing and made it a god thing - Idolatry

13 21 Dear children, keep yourselves from idols.1 John 5:21 14 Therefore, my dear friends, flee from idolatry. 1 Cor 10:14 Most of our problems are FRUITS – Idolatry is ROOT

14 RECOGNIZE Your Idol Who/what are your external idols? Who/what are your internal idols? Who/what is your mediator between you and God? Where is your functional heaven? Who/what is your functional savior? What good thing has become a god thing?

15 For by Him all things were created… All things were created through Him and for Him. Col 1:16

16 RECOGNIZE – See & Name Your Idols. REPENT – Confess to Jesus your idols & Break them. REPLACE – Worship Jesus as your only Lord.

17 The Goal is not to stop doing bad things but to start worshipping Jesus.
