AIM – Innovation in Manufacturing Conclusions  What was achieved Academia understood exactly what was needed and developed a tool which is both easy to use and flexible to be used on any process and product line. Tool already put to practice in FXB new Spraying and Finishing department Tool exposed shortcomings in initial layout and enabled to make improvements which will process flow and material wastage Tool is used to calculate CO 2 and environmental impact. Academia gaining access to different manufacturing practices which can be fed back to future engineers.
