2 Notes for Teachers This activity has two sections: Counting
Number formation It has been designed with young children in mind and is easy to use: just choose the section you require from the ‘Choose an activity’ screen. Clicking on a button like this will return you to the activity choice homepage. Clicking on a button like this will return you to the ‘Choose an Activity’ page. Click this button if you wish to exit ‘Minibeast Numbers’

15 Let’s count Count the objects on the screen. As you click on the items the corresponding number will appear. Count from left to right except when directed otherwise.

17 How many snails? 3 snails three snails

18 How many spiders? 1 spider one spider

19 How many bees? 6 bees six bees

20 Start here and count in a clockwise direction
How many butterflies? Start here and count in a clockwise direction 7 butterflies seven butterflies

21 How many dragonflies? 5 dragonflies five dragonflies

22 How many ants? 8 ants eight ants

23 How many ladybirds? 10 ladybirds ten ladybirds

24 How many grasshoppers? 4 grasshoppers four grasshoppers

25 Start here and count in a clockwise direction
How many fireflies? Start here and count in a clockwise direction 9 fireflies nine fireflies

26 How many worms? 2 worms two worms
