Johnson Falls 06/08/2008 Paddling Friends2 Johnson Falls Flowage on Peshtigo River – Sunday, June 8  Temp 68º, overcast, threat of thunderstorms; 50 minutes on water.  We paddled upstream to the High Falls Dam (and back).  We saw an eagle, a heron, and a small mammal swimming in the water.  The Wixoms arrived late and paddled downstream toward the Johnson Falls Dam (and back). Mike paddled downstream to meet them.  Rain began just as we packed up our boats.  We went to the Peshtigo River Resort for supper. It is located on the Peshtigo River, just downstream from the Caldron Falls Dam; it has a beautiful view of the river, and has a salad bar on an old boat.
